A Pty Limited, short for Proprietary Limited, is a type of company structure commonly used by private businesses in South Africa. It is a Limited Liability Company, meaning that the liability of the shareholders is limited to their investment in the company. Pty Limited companies operate for profit and are considered separate legal entities from their shareholders.
During the registration process, it is required to submit four company name options for Name Reservation. This ensures that the proposed company name is unique and not already in use. Once the company name is reserved, the registration process can proceed.
